SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES

Championships held in open air tracks

Spanish Championships always meant a lot to Tomàs Barris. Despite his extensive agenda of international competitions, he never missed a single national championship. Being the Spanish Champion was one of his main objectives for each season.

His achievement of 16 undisputed titles is an achievement that would be very difficult to emulate today. To date, only the legendary Basque discus throwerFélix Erausquin has ever managed to beat him by achieving 19 titles in the nineteen thirties and forties.
